I grew up in a family of crafters and Yankee Peddlers. I learned a lot from my mother (Bea Newton) and have precious memories of my grandmothers and all they taught me. I always wanted to have a shop and wanted to be home with my children Kari and Kristopher. With the support of my husband Kevin I was able to stay home and start my little business out of my kitchen. I love crafting, gardening and quiltmaking and live in an old red cape, so hence the name Cottage Herbs Craft & Quilt Shop. The business soon outgrew the kitchen, so up went our Barn in the spring of 1985. In 2005 we were proud to be one of the 10 shops selected by the editors of American Patchwork & Quilting Magazine, for their Spring 2005 Quilt Sampler Magazine! I have now been in business 28 years!

We specialize in: Homespuns, tea dyed, wools, woolfelt and old/country look fabrics. We have a large selection of patterns and books catering to dolls, penny rugs, primitive stitcheries and quilts. Classes in quilt making, baskets, dolls, penny rugs, and more! The photo shown of the inside of my shop is just a quarter of what we have to offer!
